Unlike many of the churches featured in Lowry's work which fell into disrepair or were torn down due to war damage, St Philip's is still standing today. Located in a square north of Chapel Street, Salford, it appears in a number of Lowry's drawings and paintings including, Two people looking at a church, which sold through Bonhams in 1999 for £31,000.
