Gifted by the artist to Angelo Salvini
Thence by family descent
Angelo Salvini was the long serving Head Waiter at the George Hotel, Huddersfield of which Lowry was a regular patron. Known in the region as somewhat of a "local celebrity", Salvini struck up a bond with the artist over the course of his visits, and as a sign of his gratitude Lowry drew these works for him on separate occasions.
